NetDocuments has proven to be an essential tool for organizations with multiple sites that require secure collaboration on common document sets. Users, including attorneys, legal assistants, paralegals, and administrators, rely on NetDocuments to save, organize, and secure documents in one centralized location. The software's broad and deep feature set allows for secure sharing, searching, and retrieval of documents, making it an invaluable resource for legal practices and administrative groups.
One of the key use cases of NetDocuments is its role as a searchable platform for document storage. Users can store all types of documents, including office-generated documents, PDFs, pictures, and emails. By organizing and categorizing information within NetDocuments, users can easily avoid confusion during document review and editing. Furthermore, the software facilitates both internal and external file sharing while ensuring compliance with governance and retention policies.
Another important use case of NetDocuments is its ability to serve as a repository for archived email messages. By offloading these emails from Outlook servers into NetDocuments' secure infrastructure, users can free up space on network drives and have easier access to their files compared to traditional network folders. Additionally, the software's integration with other systems allows for the automation of document-related processes.
NetDocuments also plays a crucial role in storing intellectual property and acting as the sole document management solution for many organizations. With its state-of-the-art security infrastructure, it ensures data backup, proper regulation, and adherence to strict security standards. This not only enables secure collaboration across multiple sites but also provides a customer portal for easy access to documents.
In summary, NetDocuments serves as a powerful document management system and customer portal across organizations. Its features allow for secure collaboration on common document sets while addressing versioning issues. With its ability to store various document types and offer advanced search functionality, users can easily find the information they need when they need it. Ultimately, NetDocuments streamlines document management processes and provides a secure, centralized repository for organizations of all sizes.

They have stated that the software is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple for both new and experienced users to adopt. The clean design and well-organized layout have received positive feedback from several customers, who find it visually appealing and conducive to efficient workflow management.
Browser Support Limitations: Some users have expressed dissatisfaction with the browser support in NetDocuments, stating that there are potential difficulties with browser settings that can lead to problems.
Lack of Streamlined Rollout Process: Reviewers have suggested that NetDocuments should provide a better plug and play solution for smaller organizations, such as pre-programmed workspaces and profiles, to facilitate the rollout process.
Over-Innovation of New Features: Several users believe that the over-innovation of new features in NetDocuments can be a drawback. They suggest that new features should be carefully evaluated to determine if they truly benefit the organization.
Users recommend giving NetDocuments a try and being pleasantly surprised by its functionality. They emphasize the importance of cautious selection and not blindly trusting salespeople when choosing document management software.
PC users are recommended to use NetDocuments, while Mac users may face compatibility struggles. However, users suggest leveraging the training provided and asking questions to fully benefit from the software's features.
Understanding the intended use of NetDocuments is recommended to ensure its suitability for specific needs. While users acknowledge occasional bugs that require effort to resolve, they consider the program to be good overall for attorneys and offices. It is noted that NetDocuments is primarily a document management solution rather than a comprehensive software, making it more suitable for legal professionals rather than real estate professionals.

- Responsiveness: NetDocuments is continually searching for ways to improve their product and pays close attention to customer feedback
- Being cloud-based, a single version for all users is a big strength. Problems are identified and addressed more quickly.
- Cloud-based applications can almost always benefit from speed improvements. NetDocuments is not slow, but any gains in this area are pluses.
- As NetDocuments grows rapidly, it needs to keep its close customer relationships as much as possible.
- As NetDocuments diversifies, it needs to make sure that add-ons to its core document management base are stable and reliable.

- Allowed the elimination of large amounts of in-house storage and the support required to maintain it.

How Does NetDocuments Stack Up In the Market?
- Providing limited access to specific documents to strategic partners outside your organization while maintaining security for the rest of your repository.
- Providing granular security to maintain ethical firewalls in situations where your organization represents competing interests
- Customer support is really good. All phone representatives are expert in the product and can provide real solutions without resorting to scripted responses. In addition, there is a vast consultant community with in-depth knowledge in a wide range of industries and markets.
- Transparency is a key ethos with NetDocuments, when they have a problem they are clear about what, where and why; and when it will be solved.
- Browser support needs improvement, there are too many ways your browser settings can create problems. While they provide good support for these potential difficulties, they need a better plug and play solution.
- Some pre-programmed out of the box workspace and profiles that can be deployed as a starting point to jump-start the rollout process for smaller organizations.
- The only possible negative impact on ROI are two: One, you choose not to spend the dollars on infrastructure to make sure you have fast web access or Two, you do not provide enough training to your staff to ensure expectations are met when the product rolls out.
- My first roll out the planning was a little thin on the ground and users were not trained well enough and they kept trying to avoid the product. Once the training caught up with all the users the product was embraced.
